Ceonsoring Your Internetz

It's been reported that the Obama Administration wants to take control over what we can view on the web.  Why? Because they want to keep out terrorists from viewing our personal data.  That's great and all but what about our rights?  Don't we have a say in what happens to our internet?  I thought we had IT-junkies working on this stuff already.  Censoring the internet, specifically copyrighted material on websites such as YouTube, goes against our 1st Amendment rights.  I guess those don't matter anymore do they.  Do not let this happen to our internet.  We dont need to be like China.  Support the anti-censoring campaign today!

The new Linkin Park

Everyone's opinion is different about this topic.  I just wanted to get a general consensus from everyone.  What do you think about the new album.  Is it just them trying new sounds? Or did they take a bad bong hit and sang some crap?  I think A Thousands Suns is...interesting to say the least.  Some of the tracks are cool, and the little intros before some of the songs add a decent effect.  Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Things that can't be explained

Not to go all nostalgic on you guys are anything.  But, as I get older I realize more and more things that can't be explained.  Why the Earth is tilted at 22.6 degrees, or why when you flush a toilet above the equator the water goes clockwise and below its counter-clockwise...(i think)?  But the one thing that has really gotten to me is Love.  Yes, love.  why is it so complicated.  Something so simple yet so complicated, that has brought hearts together and torn others apart.  I'm sure most of you know what I'm talking about. Now, I love my girlfriend very much.  There's no doubt about it.  I love her with all my heart, and so does she. But, there is a huge obstacle in our way.  There are certain people that don't approve of our relationship, and don't want us together. I don't know what to do about this.  I've been pondering many ways to get passed the brick wall in my way.  But, there for everyone else out there; we need to understand something.  Love is like a diamond.  Nothing can break love, except love itself.  So, no matter what happens, don't let anyone or anything get in between you and your loved one.

I would've posted this yesterday but was too busy with other things.  As we all know, the 9th anniversary of 9/11 was yesterday. A very sad time for many families.  I would just like to take a minute to have a e-moment of peace for the thousands of families lives that were ruined by this tragic day.  God Bless those who fell on that day.  I still can't believe that it was so long ago.  I was still in grade school when it happened.  Where were you on 9/11?

iOS 4.1 was released today...yay! let the apple fanboys rejoice. also, i just saw the new samsung galaxy s for verizon and it looks awesome! im debating either to get a droid incredible or a galaxy S...hmm.  what do you guys think?

Drugs and Driving

Now, i know i already ranted about highway driving before.  But, this just sickens me.  A story about a young man and his wife of 5 years is now dead.  Why? Because he sacrificed his life so that his wife, and unborn baby could stay alive.  A driver under the influence of illegal drugs swerved into oncoming traffic, because she wanted to take off her sweater and had the passenger take the wheel...WTF?  Open a window or something you dumb ass.  They were also not wearing any seatbelts.  How much more stupid can you get.  There should be an award for dumb sh*ts like you.  Three people died because she cant be responsible.  All that happened to her was a fractured pelvis.  The price people pay for someone else's stupidity is shocking to me.  I will never understand why people cant think like an intellectual human-being.

Long Time No Post

Sorry I haven't posted anything in a while guys.  I've been enjoying the extended weekend and trying to relax.  I'll try and post some more this coming week!

ANOTHER oil spill in the Gulf

yes, yet another oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. An oil rig located about 80 mi south of vermillion bay...wherever that is.  the spill was west of the BP spill, but shockingly enough, it wasn't BP's fault.  Some other company, Mariner Energy owned the vessel which exploded with 13 people on board at around 9:30 AM friday morning.

The only thing i have to say is WTF!  we already have enough problems with oil prices, and all there gonna keep doing is rasing the already outrageous prices.  its pathetic how ignorant these people are and cant keep their sh*t together.  Pretty soon we're gonna have our own Dead Sea.

Recap of the Apple 2010 Fall Music Event

Ok, so heres the rundown:

The iPod shuffle will pretty much stay the same as the 2nd gen one..the little cube, but with a twist!

The new shuffle will feature the same voiceover and playlists as the 3rd gen shuffle...yay for new stuff!

The Shuffle will come in 5 colors in one size, 2 GB, and will be sold for the very low (for Apple) price of $49 and will come in 5 exciting colors!  I should totally work for Apple right?

Now on to the Nano...the 6th generation. jesus! i remember when they just released the 1st gen.  im old

Anyway...they basically chopped off the infamous click-wheel and now its just a small.maybe 3" diagonal touchscreen.  Now personally i think this is a huge waste because one, they took away the larger screen and the ability to watch video.  That will make some of Apple's consumers upset im sure.

And last but not least in the new line up, the 4th Gen iPod Touch.  They added two, thats right, two camera, one front-facing for FaceTime and the other rear-mounted for HD video and picture.  The new touch will also feature the "retina" display screen.

iOS and iTunes:

iOS 4.1 is available today iPod touch and iPhone.  This basically took care of some bugs including bluetooth and other things.  But the more exciting announcement made today, iOS 4.2 This will be released in November and will be available for Touch, iPhone 4 and iPad; and all for free...yay free stuff!!

This update will take care of multi-tasking and will include GameCenter.

Also, iTunes 10 is being released today, for free, which takes care of some "housekeeping" and now has $.99 HD TV shows for rent on all devices.

Highways and Annoying Delays

As the new school year(noooo!) falls upon us, and all the kiddies are running to their buses, there are some of us seniors that have to drive to school.  Sounds fine right? Wrong! Unfortunately, my commute consists of driving down one of the worst three highways on the east coast.  That being 695.  This hell-hole of a road is packed, everyday from people from as far north as PA that drive, everyday, to work down in Baltimore.  Thats all fine and dandy, but people don't know how to effing drive!  All it is is people weaving in and out and cutting me off, cutting others off and on certain days (today) they go careening into the jersey wall and closing all four lanes of the beltway.  Now, if we could be responsible people and drive like sane humans, this wouldn't happen.  But for some reason we all have to get there ASAP and drive at 90 MPH.  Stop it, because it pisses everyone off and puts their lives and your life at risk.

Apple

Well well well, it's that time of year again. Time for the Apple "Music Event."  To sum up my opinions on the matter:

iPod:

• New iPod touch(4th gen) with front-facing camera that will use FaceTime and Retina display
• shuffle with touch screen?
• Nano with touch screen?

iPad:

• Will also reportedly have new front-facing camera to use FaceTime
• There has also been talk of a CDMA version of the iPad

iPhone

My personal sources tell me that the iPhone will FINALLY come to Verizon by October or November.  (Thank you jesus!!!) The ATT(lol) contract ended last December and there have been reports of Apple investing and hundreds of thousands of CDMA chipsets from Qualcomm.

There has been talk about some AppleTV thing...what? that old Steve plans to upgrade so he can make another million.  But besides that...more upgrades to iTunes and $.99 tv show rentals?

That pretty much sums it all up i guess...all the rumors will be confirmed on Wednesday at 1pm Eastern
